ALFA ROMEO GIULIA 1600 SPIDER, 1963

Alfa Romeo Giulia 1600 Spider.jpg

1 of just 404 original Factory built Right Hand Drive examples, all of which were produced during 1963. This particular example was supplied new to the UK and still wears its distinctive original registration number.

Supplied new through Alfa Romeo agent Chipstead Motors of Holland Park, London, and first registered on the 28th May 1964. The original Chipstead Motors sill plate is still in place.

The car has always remained UK registered. Acquired in 2012 from well respected Alfa Romeo specialist and sometime Main Agent, Black & White Garage near Newbury, the car then formed part of a very select collection in the Channel Islands, returning to the mainland in 2017.

The subject of a comprehensive and photographically detailed restoration during the early 2000s (following which the car might justifiably have been described as ‘concours’), only approximately 3200 dry miles have been covered since that time. Despite this nominal mileage over the last 18-odd years, the Spider has nevertheless clearly enjoyed impeccable maintenance.

Complete with a huge history file, the provenance is cast iron, and whilst it may no longer strictly be described as ‘concours’, it certainly remains exceptional.

£64,800

The car presently enjoys tax free passage within the EU and is supplied with a UK registration document. The current MoT certificate is valid until June 2020.
